What does TUSHALA mean?

Tushala is a project born from the purest intention to share yoga with anyone who wants to discover it as a tool for life. The word shala in Sanskrit is used to describe the meeting place for yoga practitioners. It means house, center, home. And that is precisely what we want to offer you.We have put all our care into creating a space where you can find what you need to feel better, a place you’ll want to visit frequently to evolve in your practice, and where you will feel part of this yogi community.Additionally, we are convinced that in a modern society characterized by hurry and stress, we need more than ever to return to the origins of who we are and reconnect with our true essence. Here, you will work on strength and flexibility, gain balance and harmony, and begin to breathe again...Welcome to what is already your center, your space, TU SHALA.

Styles we practice at Tushala.

Our intention is for you to choose the one that best suits your current circumstances. With consistency and patience, you will progress in the practice throughout your life.

What is YOGA?

Yoga is a broad concept. In short, it can be defined as a science and practice that has evolved over thousands of years and aims at the moral, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual development of human beings. It is based on two fundamental pillars for achieving a fulfilling life: improving health and restoring inner calm. Only then can we observe the world more equitably and act more kindly and respectfully towards those around us, thus turning individual yoga into a universal benefit. In this vein, over the centuries, the yogis of antiquity discovered that the causes of human suffering, as explained by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras (3rd century B.C.), are and always will be the same. Therefore, the yoga practitioner faces the daily challenge of walking towards the liberation from this suffering and connecting with the universal energy that surrounds them. Ultimately, yoga offers us the opportunity to improve our health and ourselves; it provides us with a method for transformation of ourselves, our lives, and our surroundings. And it is a truly motivating path because the benefits of yoga are countless and begin to be felt by the practitioner from the very first day.Aside from bodily health, improved breathing, and attention, as a practitioner, you begin to bring more awareness to every simple task you do in your daily life. You observe yourself more, as well as your surroundings, and you tend to correct attitudes and actions. All of this helps you cultivate feelings of calm, confidence, empathy, generosity, and gratitude, which gradually transform your outlook on life.
